Summary/Objective: Helps organize preparation of all food menu plans. Plans accordingly and coordinates with executive chef.

Classification: Non-Exempt  Full Time Position Mon-Fri  7 am – 3:30 pm

Essential Functions:

  • Help in the preparation of all food menu items
  • Weekly kitchen planning with executive chef
  • Ability to cook independently
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques (Sautee, grill, roast, sauces etc.)
  • Friendly and cooperative attitude: daily interaction with entire upper management
  • Ensure kitchen operates in an orderly way so food service is on time and sufficient
  • Prep, cook serve food as well as cleaning the kitchen (washing dishes, mopping and sweeping floors, operating the dish washer deep cleaning of all the kitchen equipment)
  • Notifying executive chef of any arising problems or issues pertaining to the kitchen, lunch service or any other staff members
  • Ensure lunch service runs smoothly
  • Helps with the monthly inventory
  • Must have a food handler card



  • One year of experience with major concentration in food preparation, management, nutrition or related field.
  • Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management
  • Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills
  • Spanish Speaking Highly recommended, but not required
